suckers – it gets your body movin’(2009)
reminiscent of tv on the radio, or yeasayer (their upcoming ep is produced by yeasayer’s anand wilder), brooklyn, new york’s suckers are another in a long line of BK-bred artsy/atmospheric rockers. this song, ‘it gets your body movin’, sounds HUGE with it’s melancholy melody, thunderous drums, and anthemic chorus. it kinda reminda me of arcade fire’s ‘wake up’ (or maybe i’m watching the ‘where the wild things are’ trailer too much). either way the song is amazing and i can’t wait to hear the ep from these guys.

i was actually going to do a yeasayer post a while back…the band is criminally underrated and were overshadowed by their tourmate’s success (mgmt). they’re recording now so i’ll just ait till there’s some new material to post.
