man this song goes hard as hell. i’m late posting the video, but like below, this was mainly so ya’ll can get on this song and start throwing money out your windows while going 30 mph over the speed limit on i-10. even though i just found out that jeremih was the idiot who sings that “birthday sex” song, he has a great hook on this song.
i’ve always liked fab’s singles, but his albums usually fail to deliver. we’ll see though.

we’ve posted about the golden filter a few times before, but after sitting here for the past 45 minutes and listening to a bunch of remixes from this elusive hipster entity known as the golden filter, i’ve come to the conclusion that i’m in love. from the dark synth to the incredibly seductive vocals. very much so along the lines of glass candy, but much, much more refined and enjoyable.
anyway, if you haven’t gotten into em’ already, i was bored enough to gather up all the remixes i have from them and put them into a nice zip file. i’ve also included two of their own songs.

well, after listening to either of these new he is legend songs off their aptly-titled upcoming album, it hates you, you’ll probably do all three. the first one, “everyone i know primarily has fangs,” is pretty much unlike any HIL song you might’ve heard. simply put, it’s weird as hell. huge chorus though, and that alone sells me.
the primarily blues is more along the lines of suck out the poison, an album that i love. i know a lot of people jumped ship after SOTP, but i was a huge fan regardless.
get your shamwows ready. get your preorder on.
p.s. do not really kick any puppies. follow the bands lead and cuddle with bunnies instead.

damn it. i got excited when i recognized the work of escher and magritte in this artsy video for regina spektor’s ‘laughing with’ but it’s already been pointed out. no care, i’m more into impressionists anyway.
sour grapes aside, this is quite the one-eighty form the adorable viral video of ‘dance anthem of the 80′s‘. but the visual heavy video, light on the playfulness perfectly compliments the heavy, somber tone of the song. no one laughs at god, y’know, though they have one adorable smile.

the gaslight boys recorded a live acoustic ep at think indie record store in the vacation capital of the world, orlando, florida. really great to hear these songs stripped down with vocalist brian fallon’s gruff vocals channeling nebraska era springsteen. there’s even that robert bradley cover of ‘once upon a time’ that we heard the band play last month. good stuff
