it’s been a rough weekend, and even though i saw the hangover about three weeks ago, i just downloaded bought the soundtrack and it reminded me how good this movie was. so upon hearing certain gems (see: phil collins – in the air tonight), i decided i’d go back into the brain archives and write a short recap about this movie.

the hangover follows phil (bradley cooper), stu (ed helms) and alan (zach galifianakis) as they retrace their footsteps after a bachelor party that eventually led to a situation we’ve all been: the morning of an incredibly painful hangover.
the trailer blazes through everything in the movie, including any and everything from discovering tigers, missing teeth, marrying strippers, getting knocked the fuck out by mike tyson and much much more.
i never really liked bradley cooper (he was a complete tool on nip/tuck), but he was definitely good in this particular role. for fans of the office, you can expect ed helms to portray an equally hilarious and far more obscene and toothless andy bernard. and zach g is well, zach g.
all three of the actors quickly adapted to each other’s completely different genres of comedy and came together to form a cohesive comedic dynamic that basically allowed for a great movie.
this is a pretty good movie to take a lady out to, but an even better movie for those rowdy bro-downs. i chose the former, and have yet to embrace the latter. todd phillips, the director of road trip (which by the way, sucked) and old school, took the reigns for the hangover and easily made himself relevant again. after all, how many of you actually LIKED starsky and hutch?
if you ask me, this movie has far more hilarious/LOL-worthy moments than old school has ever had. i’ve always thought the movie was overrated.
