so aj and i saw one of the rare performances from broken social scene last night and it was definitely a treat. granted, some of the big names (e.g. leslie feist, emily haines, amy millan) were not in attendance, but kevin drew and his army performed (see: runner-up) the best set at this weekend’s summerfest. drew did mention that this was the last show for BSS for 2009, so that’s also a huge brag for the thousands on hand at eleanor tinsley park.

in any case, aj’s going to be writing the show recap because i’m going to make him, but i felt that these videos drew specific attention and deserved their own post. stay tuned for the entire weekend recap sometime in the next two days. for now, enjoy the video for “fire eye’d boy” posted above, along with “kc accidental” and “7/4 (shoreline)” after the jump.
