i speak for the rest of the bears when i say that this is one “scene” band i’m sad to see go. i remember checking out these guys on mp3.com shortly before the release of their first ep and being impressed by how much potential they had. and with the release of hiding inside the horrible weather, i genuinely felt like they were on their way to reaching that potential. associate them with the scene all you want, but that album is full of strong song writing and massive hooks. and they showed even more promise with these new demos that were released shortly before (and after) the announcement of songwriter jesse barrera’s departure, and the subsequent break-up of the band. sad to see such a great young band get completely chewed up and spit out by the industry (which was the main reason for the band’s demise). grab these demos and bid farewell, or if you never gave them a chance, pick these up and see what you were missing out on.

When I found out, I was heart broken. Stupid record label company.
oh well – at least Jesse is still going strong with his solo career.
MAH has been writing great, catchy, and mature music since they were called No Way Out, sad to see bands like this go.
