the decemberists’ new clip for “the rake’s song” from their hazards of love album, the fan made video was created by st. martins college of art students, alex dashino and varvara volodina of moscow. these guys have done their homework, as well as having a running knowledge of russian folklore, in creating a video that not only recalls the shadowplay in the decemberists’ video for “the tain” but for also creating a video that is unequivocally decemberist-y.
