the positives is definitely an album i didn’t give enough listens, but i clearly remember how much i loved “goodness gracious,” so it goes without saying that i’m happy to see this raunchy, gritty song come to life in video form. the party in the video hits home, as this is how the bears like to party. except with way less pants and way more liquor.

other than this song being from 2008, i have no clue about it’s origins. dot da genius, the man behind ‘day n nite’ produced the track, and it’s fairly obvious upon immediate listen. this song is highly reminiscent of anything on a kid named cudi. so if you’ve been yearning for that type of stoner hip-hop, ‘know why’ is your candidate.

i’m pretty positive i’ve been listening to this track about 3 times a day for the past few weeks. big sean shuts the wild hare in chicago down, and gowherehiphop was there to document the mayhem. above is ‘supa dupa lemonade,’ followed by ‘fat raps’ with chip da ripper. below the cut is a clip of big sean getting sonned on stage after some dude who was supposed to perform got on stage, snatched sean’s mic to a cold calling of “fuck chicago,” before tossing the mic and eventually getting tossed out.

this interview was actually shot the day of kanye’s infamous 2002 car accident. appearing exhausted-yet-enthusiastic in the eerily foretelling interview, young kanye tells the story of his previous car accident/angel pendant, discusses his personal style, production, jay-z, and more. at the end of the clip, ye spits some bars a cappella that include lyrics from “through the wire” along with some (amazing) unheard lines. a must watch for anyone that has ever doubted mr. west.
