it’s constantly a good feeling to find good bands in houston or its surrounding neighbors. the canvas waiting is a four piece alternative-rock outfit from austin, tx, the live music capital of the world. they recently found their way onto a pr/management crew paper thin media, who is home to another WWM house favorite, the eastern sea. the canvas waiting recently released their ep chasing color in november of last year, and have been steadily playing more shows. with a slew of shows lined up in the greater texas areas leading up to south by southwest, the group’s definitely aiming to make a bigger name for themselves here.

i guess that’s where we come in. chasing color is a fine collection of 8 songs that any fan of third eye blind would appreciate. they have the more ambient leanings of the band, and that’s perfectly fine by me. check out and download one of their songs below, and if you like it, feel free to order up on iTunes.
