free album: the weeknd – echoes of silence (2011)

just in time for christmas. abel finishes off his free album trilogy of 2011. i just want to take this post to thank this man. he’s put out three (assuming this one is too) quality albums out for free with no promo or hype other than the internet and the power of his music. he’s easily the best artist of 2011, in terms of changing the landscape of music (he’s only played a handful of shows and runs a cult), being consistent as hell and earning his stripes. what’s next? we don’t know, but for now – we have echoes of silence.
