2 chainz continues his ignorant, trapped out and star-studded rise to prominence with his follow-up single to the drake-assisted “no lie.” and while “no lie” remains the better song, “birthday song” brings his alleged employer on for a pretty trapped out verse of his own. if 2 chainz’ track record is any indication, this will be quite successful.

this is a pretty solid crew, ain’t it? not since the days of bad boy records have i seen a unit this in tune with each other. the visuals provide a clean and sophisticated aesthetic in a parking garage. the all-black really stands out. and the camera cuts! has 2chainz ever been in a music video? he looks lost.

the stoned immaculate is out now, as is the newest single/video in “capitol,” featuring the “go-to” rapper in the skreets right now, 2 chainz. i still need to jam this album. currensy is definitely one of the more underrated/consistent hip-hop artists out right now.
