video: jack freeman – slow dance [acoustic] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15820571&w=425&h=350&fv=]

jack freeman’s on a roll here. not only was lynnie’s world a great LP, but this performance of “slow dance” is the best yet. for the video, he gets together a minimalist video production and throws singer lee-lonn into the mix for some soulful good times.

[vodpod id=Video.15710387&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

holler at BWC for the heads up on this one. the fun. crew took to an exclusive hour-long dealio with consequence of sound today, and due to the lack of them not having the stream up continuously, this rip shall do. i won’t mind if fun keep dropping little ditties constantly til feb. 21st.

how incredible is it to see nate reuss and janelle monae in a video performing together? call me mcdonalds, cause i’m lovin’ it, yall. fun.’s sophomore effort now has a title and a release date: some nights will drop on FBR on february 21, 2012. too soon to call AOTY?

[vodpod id=Video.15582248&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

getting really excited to see the bayside/saves the day/i am the avalanche tour in a few weeks, but in the meantime, this acoustic performance of “how to fix everything” and “killing time” will do.

video: fun. – it gets better [new song; acoustic] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15503800&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

the good news is that the new fun. album is complete. the bad news is that they don’t know when it’s coming out. from prior statements, i still wouldn’t count on it coming out this year. anyway, new song performed acoustic and it sounds just fantastic.

against me! – i was a teenage anarchist + because of the shame [acoustic] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15331242&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

after having previously not been a fan of AM! before white crosses, i’m glad to say i’m a bit converted. in this clip/interview with exclaim! magazine, the q+a sessions are intertwined with acoustic performances of the mentioned songs. a questionable format, but whatever. “because of the shame” below the jump.

video: new found glory – radiosurgery [acoustic] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15326704&w=425&h=350&fv=]

i don’t care for new pop-punk these days. and while NFG’s not without a fight was underwhelming at best, it still had its share of great summer jams. “radiosurgery” is pretty terrible overall, but i’m glad to see these guys dabbling in acoustic music and making that song sound a tad better.

am i the only one who wants a follow-up in the vein of coming home? thought so.

video: lykke li – jerome [acoustic] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.14313569&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

for this dimly lit clip, lykke li, with a little help from the wildbirds & peacedrums, performs a haunting version of wounded rhymes track “jerome.” just three lovely ladies, with lovely voices, all fighting for the title of ‘most intense eyebrows.’ enjoy.

video: taking back sunday – nervous energies sessions (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.13812296&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

i don’t actually know who or what nervous energies is, but they managed to capture some great footage of adam and john of tbs performing acoustic. up top is “faith”, and after the jump you can watch em do “sad savior”. apparently there’s a third video that will drop wednesday of a tom petty cover, so get stoked for that.
