for six nights in february through march, björk will take up a residency in paris’ le circue en chantier, a circus tent set up on an island right in the middle of the siene. the icelandic princess will be performing an in-the-round, multi-media concert of her album biophilia. yes, you’re right: holy freakin’ shit.
there are also rumors of björk bringing biophilia stateside to the west coast. so keep your ear to the coachella ground.
björk’s biophilia remix album bastards is set to release next tuesday, and warming up the masses is this anomaly of a music video featuring the blue=haired björk sitting in sand, as sentient tectonic plates swirl around her and form volatile landmasses. pretty awesome. watch it above.
björk has a biophilia remix series that will drop a track once per fortnight (i’ve always wanted to use “fortnight” in its correct context). we’ve already heard current value’s take on “crystalline,” so check the soundcloud below for his drum ‘n’bass take on “solstice.”
björk’s new video for biophilia track “hollow” is one viewed at a literal microscopic level. like nucleosomes dancing about at 10,000,000x magnification. no confirmation yet if those nucleosomes are björk’s, but one can speculate by their groovy nature, that they are.
hey guys, that crazy icelandic woman bjork is back in action with a really fucking weird music video. the best part about this post is that it could be about literally any video she’s dropped in the last 10 years, and it would apply. her album biophilia will be dropping on september 26th in its entirety, but until then, you can get a hold of bits and pieces through various iPad apps.
the moomins and the comet chase is a cartoon/animation movie about the doom of all things living after a fireball comes to hit the earth. naturally, bjork’s gonna do something completely fucking zany for it. here’s a video for “the comet song,” a cut hitting iTunes tomorrow that’ll support children’s charities and sweet, huggable things like that nature.
she has the embed disabled, so head over to the house of bjork to see the video.
