stream: blink-182 – dogs eating dogs EP (2012)

blink-182′s follow-up to neighborhoods is here, in a shiny new digital ep. upon first listen, it’s obvious that these guys needed to get back in a room together to make music that makes more sense, especially after that disjointed mess that was neighborhoods. a step in the right direction, and you can stream the whole thing at AP. oh and it dropped today.

video: on the road with blink-182 (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15639544&w=425&h=350&fv=]

i’ll get around to watching this eventually. for now, the video description is going to be stolen verbatim:

AT&T made it possible for young storyteller Mike Millette to live his dreams as an aspiring filmmaker and blink-182 fan. During the two-week production, Mike and the pro crew traveled to 10 cities; filmed at 7 blink-182 shows; interviewed the band and everyone involved with the tour; blogged, tweeted, and generally reported the behind the scenes experience to AT&T and blink-182 fans.

blink 182′s got a snappy new video for their bad religion-esque “heart’s all gone,” composed of quick, energetic clips of the band performing at this year’s honda civiv tour. hey, we were just there!

neightborhoods is out now. check out grizzly’s review of the album here.

album review: blink-182 – neighborhoods (2011)

Today was a good day to post the album review, because today’s also the day we’re catching blink-182′s Houston stop of the Honda Civic Tour. And sure, we spent weekends of our time in much more hip locations such as ACL, but we’re human, and we still grew up on these guys, right? In any case, this is one of the longest tenured bands, and I’m glad they’re still making music. I do wish that they’d buckle down and get some adult haircuts though.

Album review’s after the jump.

while my personal jury’s still out on this song (i still don’t like it; especially the lack of chorus) it looks like the first blink 182 video in 8 years is pretty damn good. while it reminds me of the nighttime version of “stay together for the kids,” the apocalyptic imagery makes blink look much tougher than they are. neighborhoods is out 9/27.

blink-182 – neighborhoods [artwork + tracklisting] (2011)

never much that makes tracklistings for rock-oriented albums that interesting, but alas, thanks to AP.NET’s premiere of the tracklisting, we now know that the excellent “heart’s all gone” has been reduced to a bonus track on a deluxe edition. if that’s the case, then shouldn’t the album be really good? that’s sound logic, right? neighborhoods drops 9/27.
