decent performance from the two of em. these guys have a good track record together though. i’ve liked pretty much every collaboration and i hope jay-z follows through with taking jeezy on tour for the sole purpose of playing the ‘put on remix.’

this is definitely one of my favorite jay songs of all time. i can hardly wait to see this in person. he’s killed all three performances of it.

bp3 leaked en masse yesterday, and the entire blogosphere was buzzing, foaming at the collective mouth and forming opinions: some harsh, some absolute acclaim. well here’s your chance to give bp3 a legal spin and save yourself the sketchiness of being a music pirate.

Jay-Z has teamed up with Rhapsody® and MTV to promote the highly-anticipated release of his new album, “The Blueprint 3.” As part of the partnership, the entire album will be available for fans to listen to for free on Rhapsody.com and from MTV’s “The Leak”, almost two weeks prior to its official release. In addition, Rhapsody will also make the new album available for purchase beginning September 8, three days ahead of the street release, and will include two exclusive bonus tracks.
Leading this partnership, three new Rhapsody TV spots will debut starting on September 1 across MTV Networks. In addition to two 30-second ads, Rhapsody will premiere a 60-second version of the ad in the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13.

dear timbo,
keep a tighter lock on the tracks you produce for jay-z. and this song knocks hard. blueprint 3 is shaping up to be as massive as the hype.
sincerely,
panda

ya’ll are a bunch of haters. yes, this song isn’t the most epic collaboration we all expected. and yes, hov’s been slippin’ lately, so it’s probably the main reason drizzy doesn’t have a verse on this track. but considering timbaland produced this track, i hardly doubt that he went into this thinking it was for the street. pretty sure this one’s a banger for the club, and if this beat doesn’t hit hard on your speakers, then you must hate your life. period.
oh, and anybody remember dirt off your shoulder? right.

much music interview from the video shoot/behind the scenes of the “run this town” video.

now this is a fucking music video of epic proportions. if there ever was a music video that intimidates you to no end, it’s this one.
EDIT: MTV video added. looks much better now.

edit: my boy mike just blew my mind by calling this video “california love pt. 2.” nailed. it.

ugh. not gonna lie, the first one looked better.
pros: another kanye west feature, a j. cole feature
cons: WHERE THE FUCK DID THE NAS FEATURE GO?
that is all.

i didn’t post the original preview video because it kept spazzing on me every time i tried to post or play it. anyway, needless to say this will be epic. hov talks a little bit about the clip in this one.
