robyn is about to embark on a nationwide tour supporting katy perry. oh well. in the meantime, enjoy this feist-meets-lotus flower video for body talk dance-jam “call your girlfriend.” even in an empty warehouse, robyn can command an entire room. get it girl!

Robyn had a hell of a 2010. Culminating in the three-part Body Talk series, which was universally acclaimed by music critics worldwide, the Swedish dance-pop starlet poured real emotion into her unique brand of forward-thinking dance music, reinventing herself yet again from the fledgling pop star we first heard in the 1996 made for radio single “Show Me Love.” Though hardly having truly broken through on American soil due to lack of push by her labels, Robyn wrapped a successful Body Talk tour with a spectacular packed show at Houston’s Warehouse Live last Saturday, affirming that some of music’s best kept secrets are anything but.

who knew swedish export robyn would be such a fan of jamaican dancehall? well, pretty much everyone outside of the western hemisphere, i can tell you that much, which has yet to embrace ragga. check out the videoke-friendly video for “dancehall queen” from body talk above.

if you’re not already hypnotized by robyn’s music, then you will be by her hair or her aerobic-fitness dance moves she brought to late night with jimmy fallon as she performed “dancing on my own” from the final installment of her body talk album series which will be released later this month.

were you wondering why the final track on robyn’s otherwise dance pop album body talk pt2 was a string-laden acoustic symphony? well if you’re one for consistency in your swedish exports (who isn’t?) the lady herself has released the club-friendly version of “indestructible,” and it is delicious, rawr.
