chuck ragan (of hot water music fame) recently stopped by wolfgang’s vault in san fransisco to perform his latest solo effort, covering ground, in its entirety. i finally got around to listening to the album a few nights ago, and it’s been in constant rotation since. absolutely fantastic effort and sure to be on my end of year list. hit the link below to stream the videos.

i won’t lie, despite being a long time hot water music and chuck ragan fan, my reason for posting this was primarily that it features brian fallon (of the gaslight anthem). low and behold, mr. ragan delivers more high quality solo work for the americana set. his new album covering ground is set to drop in september. open up a bottle of jack and stream the song below.

the chuck ragan acoustic project with fiddles, or collectively just ‘chuck ragan,’ took a break from touring with social d (why couldn’t he have been on my date?!) to perform “let it rain” from his second album, 2009′s gold country over at punkvideosrock.
