mixtape: play cloths holiday mixtape (2011)

the clothing line byproduct of the clipse is quite the urban line. while i’m not a fan of a lot of it in general, play cloths kinda pushes the boundaries a bit, including the fact that they’re back this xmas season with another mixtape that’s full of good verses, surely.

peep the tracklisting here and download it below.

travis barker – city of dreams [f. the clipse] & if you want to [f. lupe fiasco and pharrell] (2011)

two HUGE leaks from barker’s upcoming album, which is dropping next week. i had no clue the record was dropping so soon, but if there are high quality songs like this (clipse and lupe both go crazy on their respective cuts), then i’m on board.

…i still haven’t listened to the mixtape though.

video: travis barker – come and get it [f. the clipse] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.5627791&w=425&h=350&fv=]

after travis’ mixtape dropped yesterday, i’m sure there’s more promo where this came from. i haven’t gotten the chance to sit down with the tape yet, but i guarantee this’ll be one of the best cuts on it.

video: clipse – life change [f. pharrell and kenna] (2010)

[vodpod id=Video.5038409&w=425&h=350&fv=sid%3DMTV_Videos%26amp%3BconfigParams%3Dinstance%253Dmtv%2526vid%253D602862%2526id%253D1518072%26amp%3BautoPlay%3Dfalse]

just when you thought the pusha t solo run was gaining so much (too much?) momentum, the clipse drop a video, just so you ain’t forget that they dropped a HEATER last year. “life change” wasn’t exactly my favorite song, as i would’ve much rather seen a video for “showing out,” but hey-i’ll take it. YUCGH.

interview: pusha t x karencivil.com (2010)

in an informative, albeit brief interview, pusha t clarifies a bunch of questions that have been on everyone’s mind as of late when it concerns the 1/2 of the clipse in the limelight. is pusha’s mixtape coming out? what does he think about the wale/cudi situation? is clipse gonna record and release through G.O.O.D. as a unit?

all of that pertinent info can be found here.

video: malice – interview with MTV [pusha t, book, etc] (2010)

[vodpod id=Video.4074096&w=425&h=350&fv=configParams%3Did%253D1643934%2526vid%253D540257%2526uri%253Dmgid%253Auma%253Avideo%253Amtv.com%253A540257]

quick clip further adding points to the side that said pusha t is signing with G.O.O.D. malice acts coy (pause) and shares no further details about pusha t signing to G.O.O.D. music, while plugging his upcoming book in the process.

although, the whole GOOD music day has already taken a big hit with the delay of cudi’s album. it’s all good, it was my least anticipated from the bunch.

pusha t – bidding war (2010)

so it looks as though we’ve a taste of solo work from pusha t of clipse as he goes in on jay electronica’s “the ghost of christopher wallace”. word is pusha will be dropping a mixtape entitled fear of god september 14th (which also happens to be G.O.O.D. music day and according to this, could involve said artists). this is starting to look like the greatest day in music history. YUGCH!

clipse – showin’ out (original version) [f. lloyd and yo gotti] (2010)

this song was easily one of my favorites on till the casket drops. this one has lloyd on the hook and was the original version. guess they realized it was weak as shit (which it clearly is) and decided to stick with skateboard p instead. good call, but it’s worth checking out anyhow.
