we haven’t seen the last of r.e.m. as a new cat-headed music video directed and staring james franco has surfaced today for the band’s song “that someone is you” from their final album collapse into now. watch the wacky, grease-inspired clip above.

though we’ve pretty much heard the majority of r.e.m.’s fifteenth (count ‘em) album collapse into now, npr has the whole album streaming over on their site. it’s nice to hear the album as a whole, a more expansive, massive sound than in earlier albums.

collapse into now is out march 8th, but don’t expect a tour anytime soon.
