well, this was a fantastic surprise. how does one track have this level of star power? not sure, but it somehow didn’t make the cut for random access memories. it definitely wouldn’t have fit on the album, but it’s a pretty sweet little track for your collections. allegedly produced by yeezus, too.
alright, so the grammys were tonight. instead of posting every single video or whatever, i’m just gonna drop a few of my favorites. up top? my absolute favorite metallica song of all time, performed with classical pianist lang lang. below the jump, you’ll find daft punk (congrats on the AOTY, you bots!), the first ever performance of “drunk in love” and much more. i’ll tell you what i didn’t like: that kendrick and imagine dragons performance. GOOD GRIEF.
for a full list of winners, head here.
the whole random access memories thing was a flash in the pan for me. i got pretty obsessed with the album when it came out, and it just kinda fell off the radar for me. luckily, this video brought me right back. easily my favorite track on the album.
nothing special to see here folks. just daft punk and their everlasting glowing aura, surrounding both pharrell and nile rodgers as well, as an aptly-dancy crowd claps and shakes along.
random access memories is out now.
tired of all the recent daft punk coverage? shut up yo, no one cares. “horizon” comes to you by way of the lovely japan, whose random access memories release holds this cinematic piece as a bonus track. this dreamy and ambient track needs to be thrown on your ipod, in order to be able to put yourself to bed in the most peaceful way imaginable – because that’s exactly what i’ll do.
daft punk – horizon [japanese bonus track]
it’s here. 75 minutes of new daft punk. be sure to go to the link below and “view in itunes.”
daft punk – random access memories [full album stream]
we’re a week away, and daft punk released this gem for us in the meantime. seriously, who are these guys’ creative directors and marketing team? they’re good. hear a snippet of a new track as the duo unboxes their newly minted RAM LP…probably in outer space.
random access memories is out on may 21st.
episode 8 of this excellent online web series is now up for viewing. in this installment, get to know paul williams, the academy award winning songwriter.
may 21st, folks. we’re almost there.
in the newest episode of daft punk’s ‘collaborators’ series, canadian artist chilly gonzales hops on board to talk working on random access memories.
pharrell wasted absolutely no time in performing his new single with daft punk at a recent HTC sponsored show. it’s kinda half-assed, but i don’t care because meanwhile, i’ve listened to this song like 79 times in the past 24 hours. oh and he does his best “jay and ye” doing “niggas in paris” at the watch the throne
tour, because he performs it multiple times.
after all of the fake outs, looped tracks, dancing djs and more fakeouts, the official radio edit to daft punk’s lead single is finally here. so sit back, get your audio rippers ready and enjoy the stream below. if you’re so inclined, buy it on itunes.
random access memories is out may 21st.
dutch radio program met michiel turned up with the recently-pulled daft punk single “get lucky” featuring pharrell williams and nile rogers and it sounds like the real damn deal. hear the unabashedly daft punk-y sounding new groove above and hang onto your
robot helmets for the may 21st release of random access memories.
can this please be the official music video for the song? michiel’s dancing is fucking awesome!
thanks to a neat little vine video (you can see it below the jump), daft punk have confirmed their tracklisting for their feverishly anticipated album, random access memories. the collaborators come to you by way of dancing astronaut and are not 100% confirmed.***

after hearing a great snippet of “get
lucky” (and even a fake full track), it’s safe to say that this will be one of the greatest songs any of us hear all summer. so, perfect timing for mr. williams to head into the collaborators series to discuss his experience with daft punk, which included taking some type of psychedelic drug to record, and by the time he hit the plane to go back home, he had forgotten everything.
yeah, pretty fuckin’ cool. random access memories is out may 21st.
last night at coachella, daft punk (who were at the festival) premiered this teaser video, “get lucky.” on it, they confirm all of the rumored collaborations for their upcoming album and they include: panda bear, julian casablancas, chilly gonzales, giorgio moroder and pharrell williams, to name just a few.
holy poop, y’all. and could the rumors of the coachella performance be true? only time will
tell. for now, check out this interview, the duo’s first about their new album, which is out may 21st.
and shit, pharrell sounds amazing. edit: replaced it with the HQ one that aired on SNL last night.
