here’s a smooth looking live clip of brian fallon and his horrible crowes performing “ladykiller.” elsie is definitely one of my year-end favorites, as it should be for you as well.

coming in a couple of weeks after the release of the pristine elsie, we have the video for the most gaslight-esque song, “behold the hurricane.” i’ll be honest, it’s pretty weird, and really somber.

today marks the release date of one of the year’s best records. and itunes is celebrating by giving you one of the songs free. and while “go tell everybody” is probably one of the best songs on the record, elsie is definitely worth the full album purchase.

brian fallon and ian perkins have created a significantly game changing record for my 2011 end of the year lists. and while this leaked merely last night, i’ve blazed through it 6 times in 24 hours – a good sign by any standards. i plan on buying this on september 6th, as any of you should as well.

the gentlemen of the horrible crowes FINALLY give us a small taste of what they’ve been secretly cooking up over recent months. i think it’s safe to say judging from this small sample alone, we’re in for one hell of a ride from mr. fallon and mr. perkins.

so the horrible crowes, aka brian fallon of the gaslight anthem and friend, have finished their debut LP. release date is set for september 6th, and i couldn’t possibly be more excited. fallon has been quoted as calling the album a “gothic soul” affair, and has listed influences ranging from tom waits to greg dulli and pj harvey. hot damn.
