from the ashes of underoath (tim mctague) and an anberlin member (nathan young) and one other comes a new project by the name of carrolhood. moody and atmospheric is this new EP, complete with a handful of fixed and autotuned vocals to match. from the sounds of it, i could see myself getting into it, but if you’re wanting to check it out, stream below.

in this stuttery new video for four‘s “truth” (which is a personal standout for me), you can catch up close shots of each individual band member, swirled about colors and other visually appealing things. the band is planning on putting out an EP for this single, with remixes from jerome LOL, IO echo and more to round out the tracklist.

news: alexisonfire to release ‘death letter’ EP (2012)

in the wake of their farewell tour and the band’s last limb, the canadian post-hardcore outfit have announced another farewell goodie, in the form of an EP. wade and dallas of the band hit the studio to record acoustic and alternate versions of some fan favorites, and it’ll be out december 4th.

free ep: torae – off the record: the ep (2012)

last year’s for the record was torae’s opus, and his most ambitious work to date – but much like other releases, a ton of tracks didn’t end up making the final cut. words from torae himself:

“I worked very hard on For The Record and recorded a lot of tracks with different producers. Some songs didn’t make the album, not because they were wack, but because I didn’t want to over-saturate the project and storyline. Off The Record is something for true Torae fans. Songs that deserve to be heard.”

and he also mentioned that it’s basically his “lost tapes.” download it below.
