big sean – what goes around + i don’t think they want it (2011)

solid day for big sean fans, bad day for big sean. two new leaks from his camp, one (“what goes around”) is confirmed to be on finally famous, but we can’t be too certain about the latter track. “what goes around” is a pretty great lyrical track for sean, i just wish the hook wasn’t as corny as it is. as for “i don’t think they want it,” it seems rough around the edges (in production as well) but definitely album-worthy. either way, tagless – do it, boi.

big sean – i do it (2011)

*dead* at the title. it was only a matter of time. produced by no i.d. and the legendary traxter. right now it’s a radio rip (from whoo kid’s station, nonetheless) so skim it once and move on with it. i’m looking forward to the CDQ of this song, because it sounds the right kind of stupid – just in time for the summer.

boi. CDQ already here.

show recap: big sean (march 9, 2011)

For starters, this “recap” was never planned to ever be posted. It was a free show at a university that I wasn’t expecting much of. My brother and his friends decided to go, so I figured I should too. I mean, I like the guy, right? Turns out, the events that transpired this evening made for one of the cooler stories at a show I’ve had. I’d also like to note that this is in no way a “review,” merely a lengthy livejournal-esque post.

Hit the jump for the recap/xanga entry.

big sean – my last [CDQ; f. chris brown] (2011)

so, we finally get the single that MIGHT actually be ‘the one’ for big sean. this song has radio play written all over it. clean version for now, but i’ll update it with the CDQ whenever that is. no i.d. killed it in on the production side of things.

EDIT: updated with the CDQ/Dirty.

video: big sean – finally famous vol. III [trailer] (2010)

i guess he is releasing a mixtape before the album, which judging off the previews could be either good or bad. i definitely hear some potential here, but i also hear the complete opposite. here’s to hoping that the overall outcome of the tape is positive and not a clouded haze of “finally famous in this!” and “boi!”

video: big sean – what u doin? [bullshittin] (2010)

[vodpod id=Video.4011723&w=425&h=350&fv=]

big sean drops a video for one of the least radio friendly singles ever. never really cared about this song. it’s corny and overall boring, but i’m digging the video a lot. also worth mentioning is i had a choice between herpes (see:myspace) or aids (see: worldstar) for the video embed options, so i went with the latter because it’s less likely to pop up in public situations.

finally famous is in stores september 14th, as of now.

big sean – made [f. drake] (2010)

well this is the week of huge releases. here’s one of the premiere leaks of one of sean’s song off of his release-date-less finally famous. i’m loving the chemistry here. i was definitely a skeptic before, but the two definitely seemed to work well off each other. drake stepped up his recent slump on the mic, and with sean on the track, that comes as no surprise. this song DOES have tags though, but they’re few and far between. will update with the CDQ when that drops. get em, got em, good.
