in some weird news, travis scott announced that he’ll be releasing his album through grand hustle. and also g.o.o.d. music. that’s a whole lotta backing for someone who hasn’t released much music. so needless to say, this album better be pretty excellent.
cudi’s last outing on g.o.o.d. music comes april 23rd, and after that he has a handful of plans of what he wants to do in music. he stopped by rikki martinez’s show on big boy’s neighborhood to discuss everything from his upcoming movie ventures, to the walking dead finale (you can skip that clip if you’re spoiler free), and much more.
as of yesterday, scottish producer hudson mohawke’s management tweeted something about hudmo being signed to kanye west’s good music. more specifically – very g.o.o.d. beats, the production imprint for the label. but that tweet has since been taken down, yet many other outlets are reporting the signing. as 1/2 of tnght, this might make sense after the on stage “collaboration” from not too long ago. not to mention, his work on cruel summer (namely his contributions to “mercy”) were quite good. we’ll see i suppose!
edit: it’s been confirmed:
I haven’t left Warp, will continue to release music with Warp. I have signed with G.O.O.D./Kanye as a producer.
and of course, right on cue. kanye west presents: the trailer for the sequel to cruel summer. an overall underwhelming effort for many, probably due to the lack of yasiin and q-tip, both of which should probably appear on this one. no new musical clips here, just the artsy obscure shit you’d almost come to expect.
since when does kanye do press? never, so soak it up. in this montage of weird ass visuals, self-inflated images of self and typical kanye-dom take place as he speaks about cruel summer, and how the group approached the recording process.
below the jump, watch the crew’s (sans kanye) stop by at 106 & park. the full damn thing is about good, so check that below.
power 105.1′s esteemed morning show had a handful of g.o.o.d. music cohorts on hand for a promotional interview for cruel summer, which hit retail yesterday. oh and the lineup is: common, pusha t, teyana taylor, big sean and cyhi.
leak or not, the g.o.o.d. music compilation should do alright come release day, which is this tuesday. in other kanye west news, he leads the pack of everyone with 17 nominations at the BET hip-hop awards. trailing behind are 2 chainz (13) and drake (11). read the full nominee list here.
also, below the jump, catch big sean performing “clique” for the first time.
well, i’m not sure this is entirely legal, but i didn’t put the damn leak up so it’s whatever. fistintheair.com is getting linked by plenty of folks around the web, so stream the entire g.o.o.d. music collection at their place.
cruel summer’s in full effect. a snippet was released earlier this week, and then flex just took to the e-streets to premiere it. worth noting is that the rumored tracklisting did have this song on it, so i’m guessing it might be real? who knows.
beat’s tough and brought to you by hit-boy. worried about jay’s verse? don’t be.
well – here we go. the rumors are swirling, thanks to HMV’s leaked tracklisting of the upcoming record by the kanye west army. that ghostface feature on ‘new god flow’ and fucking KANYE WEST AND R KELLY are especially intriguing. but let’s hold out for a legitimate source/confirmation.

kanye west resurfaced for a moment today on twitter, and managed to unleash the beast that was the cruel summer cover artwork. and alternative angel at the packaging can be seen below the jump. and the grandiose vision conquers as always.
2 chainz continues his ignorant, trapped out and star-studded rise to prominence with his follow-up single to the drake-assisted “no lie.” and while “no lie” remains the better song, “birthday song” brings his alleged employer on for a pretty trapped out verse of his own. if 2 chainz’ track record is any indication, this will be quite successful.
