news: travis scott introduced as new member of hustle gang

in some weird news, travis scott announced that he’ll be releasing his album through grand hustle. and also g.o.o.d. music. that’s a whole lotta backing for someone who hasn’t released much music. so needless to say, this album better be pretty excellent.

and for the record:

listen: kid cudi speaks on plans after g.o.o.d. music

cudi’s last outing on g.o.o.d. music comes april 23rd, and after that he has a handful of plans of what he wants to do in music. he stopped by rikki martinez’s show on big boy’s neighborhood to discuss everything from his upcoming movie ventures, to the walking dead finale (you can skip that clip if you’re spoiler free), and much more.

news: hudson mohawke signs to g.o.o.d. music

as of yesterday, scottish producer hudson mohawke’s management tweeted something about hudmo being signed to kanye west’s good music. more specifically – very g.o.o.d. beats, the production imprint for the label. but that tweet has since been taken down, yet many other outlets are reporting the signing. as 1/2 of tnght, this might make sense after the on stage “collaboration” from not too long ago. not to mention, his work on cruel summer (namely his contributions to “mercy”) were quite good. we’ll see i suppose!

edit: it’s been confirmed:

I haven’t left Warp, will continue to release music with Warp. I have signed with G.O.O.D./Kanye as a producer.

video: kanye west presents: cruel winter [trailer] (2012)

and of course, right on cue. kanye west presents: the trailer for the sequel to cruel summer. an overall underwhelming effort for many, probably due to the lack of yasiin and q-tip, both of which should probably appear on this one. no new musical clips here, just the artsy obscure shit you’d almost come to expect.

release date? “coming soon.”

just kidding:

below the jump, watch the crew’s (sans kanye) stop by at 106 & park. the full damn thing is about good, so check that below.

kanye west – clique [feat. jay-z & big sean] (2012)

cruel summer’s in full effect. a snippet was released earlier this week, and then flex just took to the e-streets to premiere it. worth noting is that the rumored tracklisting did have this song on it, so i’m guessing it might be real? who knows.

beat’s tough and brought to you by hit-boy. worried about jay’s verse? don’t be.

stream: 2 chainz – birthday song [f. kanye west] (2012)

2 chainz continues his ignorant, trapped out and star-studded rise to prominence with his follow-up single to the drake-assisted “no lie.” and while “no lie” remains the better song, “birthday song” brings his alleged employer on for a pretty trapped out verse of his own. if 2 chainz’ track record is any indication, this will be quite successful.
