about time the song “it gets your body movin’” got a video, don’t you think? just don’t expect any of the oddball images to come together to find any meaning. from a drained out pool, to a neatly naked costumed dude, beard shaving and paint chipping … well, it sure is a good song, ain’t it?

i’m not going to try to better the blurb written over on the daytrotter page regarding suckers. ‘a jubilant squeeze of pulp’, ‘euphoric joyousness’ and ‘testament to all things that have wings’? seriously?!?

reminiscent of tv on the radio, or yeasayer (their upcoming ep is produced by yeasayer’s anand wilder), brooklyn, new york’s suckers are another in a long line of BK-bred artsy/atmospheric rockers. this song, ‘it gets your body movin’, sounds HUGE with it’s melancholy melody, thunderous drums, and anthemic chorus. it kinda reminda me of arcade fire’s ‘wake up’ (or maybe i’m watching the ‘where the wild things are’ trailer too much). either way the song is amazing and i can’t wait to hear the ep from these guys.
