what do we have to do to make j.cole sample MORE soul and put out an album of shit like this? david ruffin samples, 2 million twitter followers and cole going off for a few verses. it’s a celebration.

alternatively called the campus consciousness tour, this stint will feature two of hip-hop’s newest and most respectable figures. both cole and krit are in full control of their products, considering they both produce their own shit, so i’m glad to see them on tour together. let’s axe this “college” concept and take this tour nationally, shall we? dates below the jump.

ok, not really an interview, but the associated press talking to j. cole is a great thing for the man. clap for em.

you’d think that’d be enough, but trae gets his “racks” remix on with four more guests than the ones mentioned: tyga, jadakiss, gudda gudda (lol) and king bun b.
and did i mention the best thing about this song? RETURN OF THE MACK IS SAMPLED.

mr. cole sits down with pandora and talks about his career up until this point – his best new artist nod at the grammys.
-grizzly
cole world with the roots is a winner. however, it’d be nice if we got a new single. tired of hearing this jam and “work out” on the late night circuit.
-grizzly
here’s episode III, where jermaine discusses “lights please,” “never told” and the two title tracks from his latest with muve music.
-grizzly
j. cole talks about some more songs on his record, including my personal favorite “rise and shine,” among others.

i did a double take too. that picture is of bei maejor, who got quite the lineup for his already cole-assisted single.

this just happened about 40 minutes ago. gotta love the internet, cole world, etc. his band sounds fantastic. that bass player is groovin’.

j. cole was recently featured on bbc1′s xtra live program, and stopped in to perform “can’t get enough.” i’m still jammin’ to cole world on the reg. shit’s been my anthem.

never given tempah a full-effort listen, but that’s only because i’ve always felt that theophilus london does it better and was here first. that being said, he’s dropping a mixtape next week and has a song with j. cole. that’s enough for me, i guess.

wale just dropped his sophomore LP, ambition, and he’s ready to get his promo on. after spending all day seeing wale RT everything to high hell, i managed to overlook the fact that he dropped a music video for “bad girls club.” granted, it’s not on the album, but it’s definitely a good song to get a video for. at the end, they tacked on a teaser for “tatts on my arm” as well.

this interview is worth it for the first question alone, where hoppus asks “why do you hate us so much?” referring to cole beating out blink 182 for the best first week sales.

when’s the last time beyonce put out a shitty music video? it’s been a while, huh? “party” not only continues the streak, but it also incorporates kelly rowland, solange, j. cole and plenty of good times.

jermaine drops a video that he’s been sitting on for 3 years. before he got signed, he and bbgun worked on ‘lost ones,’ and apparently were just waiting for the right time to drop it. the emotionally charged track from cole world: the sideline story bodes well in visual form.
-grizzly

seeing as how it’s probably impossible to get andre on board for the video for this song, three stacks has been swapped for j. cole on this remix. decent substitution at best.

a few minutes of interview with dj envy before launching into a studio/radio performance of “lost ones,” a very premium cut from cole world.

tired of j. cole news? here’s a new song that’ll be featured on drama’s new compilation, dropping on ‘who gives a f,’ but has chris brown featured on it. the video above is ‘a day in the life,’ presented to you by aol/spinner.

the cole world invasion continues as jermaine puts it down for the jimmy kimmel crowd. above is work out. hit the cut for one of my personal favorites from the album, cole world.

Yeah, I know. I said this would be the third review last week, but I just didn’t get around to it. Been a huge J. Cole fan, so it’s always nice to see artists you’ve been into for years finally put together and release their debut LP. Not to mention, sell 217,000 copies of it.
Hit the jump for the review and don’t sleep on this record. Just don’t.

tired of j. cole news yet? sucks for you, because his guest verse is the only thing that brought to this song. turns out, it’s quirky and enjoyable, so whatever.

short behind the scenes clip at the making of jermaine’s debut album, complete with audio of jay-z talking about the young simba. believe the hype.

video: j. cole – cole world: the sideline story commentary [episode 1] (2011)
12 12 2011j. cole and muve music hook up for commentary about jermaine’s debut, and in episode one, he covers lead singles “in the morning” and “can’t get enough.” to download the entire commentary album, stay tuned for more info from muve music.
i’m assuming more episodes are on the way.
