watch: kanye west premieres a new song in a way only kanye west would

i know posting a kanye west video 12 hours after it hit the internet is damn near sacrilege, but “BEAR” with me. i’m in chicago, and unfortunately missed the wrigley field premiere because i suck at everything.

anyway, he projected a video of himself rapping a new song, “new slaves” on 66 buildings across the globe in a grand fashion. the video above recants the prada/NYC premiere, where kanye west was spotted watching the crowd watch his premiere, engaging in a masturbation on kanye west is capable of.

watch: kanye west rants, premieres new songs at pop-up show in NYC

last night, in typical kanye west fashion, NYC attendees of the adult swim upfronts were treated to a 90 minute kanye west set. and that set held everything we hold dear about sir yeezy: new material, a fuckin’ glowing pyramid, and a classic kanye rant. watch the “i’m not a fucking celebrity” rant. unfortunately: i snoozed, so you all lose. the videos of the performances have been taken down.

watch: kanye west – where the lonely kids go when the bell rings [fan-made doc]

people on the internet sure do have a lot of time on their hands — and good reason for that. here’s a fan-made documentary of sir yeezy tha god, just in time for the internet buzz building around his maybe/maybe not album that maybe/maybe not coming out on june 18th. it’s 45 minutes long and covers the entire span of ye’s career – pre-college dropout and all.

so there’s that. then elliott wilson said by proxy of chris atlas (def jam exec) that it was confirmed, but now has updated us on the situation here.

no confirmation yet, but we’re all waiting (not so) patiently.

news: kanye west’s album is done, allegedly

and while there isn’t any official confirmation of this, peter rosenberg wasted no time on the radio in talking about the fact that he “heard” a def jam exec talk about a hosted listening party for the new finished album, and things went very well. the album is dark (expected) and as ambitious as he’s ever been (expected).

no word on whether he’s performing a new song on SNL (expected) or a medley of hits (also expected). but this will probably be an AOTY contender (expected).

news: kanye west announces ‘new shit’

after a string of bipolar performances from kanye in the last few weeks, it’s nice to know all this shit had a point. the last time he lost his shit (2009 VMAs), he locked himself away and came out with the brilliant MBDTF. now, he’s gotten a kardashian pregnant and instead of being a good dad, he’s apparently been working on new music. sounds about right, but i ain’t even mad.

news: the-dream announces album title change, release date

after nabbing another grammy last night for his work on “no church in the wild,” the-dream also hit up an interview billboard to discuss what’s new in his own personal camp. for starters, he’s changing the album name to fourplay and it’ll drop on may 7, 2013.

even better: he’ll be releasing his first single, “slow it down,” this thursday – valentines day. he also mentioned that he’s working on beyonce and kanye west on their respective albums.
