radiohead field tests their unreleased material like no other. last night, at the dallas stop of their king of limbs tour, they debuted a previously solo thom-song “skirting on the surface” as well as reaching back and pulling out “the amazing sounds of orgy,” the b-side to “pyramid song.” check out the fan-shot vids above for “skirting” and below for “orgy.”

video: radiohead – identikit + cut a hole [new songs live] (2012)

radiohead had notoriously long performed many of the in rainbows tracks live before they were ever sat down and recorded proper with nigel godrich. in keeping with that artistic choice, thom yorke and co. unveiled two new songs at the miami kick-off date of their north american tour in support of king of limbs.

colbert played host to the radioheads in an hour-long episode of his colbert report, where the band performed several songs from king of limbs (cool!), as well as “the national anthem” (yay!), and sat down with the pundit for a couple interviews (christmas album!).

last week sometime, radiohead stopped by the BBC’s basement to perform their newest record (which i’ve yet to listen to more than once) in its entirety for the first time. and while the entire special is premiering in the US on july 23rd (palladia network), the clips have already made their way online.

for those of you that need something a bit more physical than early bragging rights to a record that sprang up suddenly last month, radiohead’s the king of limbs is going to have a physical release tomorrow. you can stream the album at the link below, courtesy of consequence of sound and you can even go here to read the much buzzed about newspaper the universal sigh. that last bit also isn’t something tangible so if that’s your kind of thing, ink-stains and all, you’ll have to heads over to one of the cities that carries the paper itself. hint: it’ll be any of the cities not named “houston.”

radiohead announce u.s. tour dates (2011)

in some fantastic news, radiohead announced that they’ll be touring in the united states come march of next year. the first batch of dates have been released, and it’s nice to see certain texas cities in that batch.

i’m bringing back this old post to announce that there are more tour dates. we’re still not done pooping cornish game hens over our experience, so keep a look out for them to come to a city near you.
