after a bunch of hullabaloo on twitter last night about the headliners (myself included), the fact remains that coachella is one of the biggest and most successful festivals. clearly, since this is the 2nd year the crew will be hosting repeat festivals on back to back weekends.

get the lube out, ya’ll. fun fun fun fest just ‘unleashed the beast’ of their 2012 lineup, and it’s a doozy. first off, REFUSED ARE NOT FUCKING DEAD. then somewhere along the lines, god damn de la soul, there’s a run dmc reunion, against me!, turbonegro, converge, hannibal burress, a shit ton of other awesome bands, some good rappers, great comedians and much more.

the highly touted texas festival’s increasingly anticipated lineup has been announced. while e-list members are currently in presale mode right now, you’ll be able to buy 3-day passes tomorrow. really wish i saw “bloc party” on that there lineup, though.

the festival is set to take place on september 1st and 2nd and the preliminary lineup has been set. a very nice mix of artists, if i say so myself. more artists to be announced soon, tickets on sale tomorrow.

the fake one floating around yesterday wasn’t too far off, but the “sike!” on the whole prince thing kinda sucks. regardless, the entire lineup is up and hyperlinked by the band for your reading pleasure. the kind folks behind the festival have also put together a nice little playlist, featuring all 81 of the artists on the bill. the festival will take place june 7-10th in manchester, TN.

2012′s coachella is a behemoth of a music festival. while i initially thought that the festival would split the acts among two weekends, there will in fact be two identical weekends of coachella back to back in indio. some of the notables are: refused (reunion), at the drive-in (reunion), radiohead, the weeknd, dre & snoop, and a bunch of other shit you’re bound to like. peep the flyer and hit the official site for more details on tickets, pricing, etc.

with austin’s always lovely fun fun fun fest lineup revealed, everyone’s shittin’ their pants in anticipation. for the first time in its residency, it will:
a. be 3 days long, as opposed to 2
b. be hosted by the auditorium shores, as opposed to the dogshit waterloo park
c. have slayer playing
sunbear and i will probably be there, passed out in the grassy knoll from smuggling in vodka and roofies (for each other, obviously) in water bottles.
