We’ve been covering Theophilus for a few years now. All three of us are glad that he’s signed, making big moves and is finally putting out his debut LP. But really, all I want to say is ‘Reviewz are weird these days.’
Hit the jump for the review, and go support this record, especially after he’s given you three excellent mixtapes for free.
theophilus london has been picking up a great deal of steam lately, and all the better. he recently stopped by webster hall for a five-song performance, that mtv captured in full for a ‘buzzworthy’ feature.
“wine and chocolates” up top, and you can catch the rest of the lover’s holiday songs over at mtv’s page.
not sure why a b-side is getting a video, but i’m gonna go ahead and dedicate this entire clip to sunbear. IT’S LIZ LEE, MY DUDE.
theophilus gets his first major label music video dropped and premiered on mtv (assuming this is post-playing the mtv garage at sxsw!) and it’s a doozy. hang with mr. lvrs and get saturated in white light and paparazzi lighting and go jam lovers holiday in the meantime.
here’s a leftover from theo’s lover’s holiday sessions. such a great track, though. i wish it wasn’t left off of the EP.

so happy. even though it’s only 5 songs and we’ve heard two of them, theophilus london’s brand new, major label debut of an EP is here for all to stream. head over to spin for the exclusive stream, and preorder it on itunes or amazon.
the EP is dropping in two-ish weeks, but theo dropped off his new single a bit early. no complaints here. sara quin of tegan and fame hops on this one, and theo continues to release high caliber hip-pop.
