maybe his release date is a lot closer than i thought. mickey drops his first official music video for “paradise,” which will be on his upcoming album, the achievement the new museum. no telling when the album’s dropping though.

a lot of big names dropping tracks/singles lately, and now out of left field we’re greeted with a single from battery/jive record’s latest signee mickey factz. the track is the lead single of his long overdue debut album, the achievement (which is what it will be the day this album finally sees a release). i’m with it, and hopefully this means more is to come, sooner than later.

god bless this new year. new blu, new reflection eternal, ridiculous HOV video and now a new tape from mickey factz. mickey resurfaces for a short 8-song ep/mixtape for all of his fans. behind each song was a small snippet/backstory provided by mickey himself, so be sure to hit the jump and get that good info. love the cover, too.

video: mickey factz – rhymes & reasons [honda exclusive] (2009)

been a minute since mickey has done some shit. honda (yes, the car company) is doing a dope little series called rhymes and reasons. from the looks of things, this’ll be a good look for most of the artists. mickey talks about his days starting out as an emcee and reminisces on his first cyphers, freestyles a bit and wears ridiculously impeccable eyeglasses, the latter of which is of most relevance.

mickey factz x b.o.b. – mind blowin’ (2009)

two of the best (and my favorite) freshman team up for a song on the upcoming soundtrack for nba 2k10. this song is definitely a good look for both of these guys. consistent and constantly making great music. need their debuts ASAP. 6th sense on the production. oh yeah, and the file is named “blow your mind” because i messed up and was too lazy to re-upload it.

mickey factz – do my do f. kid cudi (2009)

cudi hops on one of factz new joints. not sure what release this is for, but factz goes in as usual. even though his verse was nice, cudi’s been getting outshined on nearly every song he’s been on since buggin out 09. he needs to step it up asap. i’m loving this beat, though.
