while mighty mos isn’t off yelling swag for a bunch of kids who have probably never listened to a mos def album, he’s on fuel tv’s daily habit rapping his ass off to a smooth madlib instrumental and killin’ everyone in sight. this is rumored to be a single/new song from his brand new, untitled album, which should be dropping this year. if it’s anything like the ecstatic and nothing like tru3 magic, brand me excited.

while a headlining set at jazz club the blue note this past saturday, the robert glasper experiment had a few tricks up their sleeve. lupe fiasco hit the stage (to be backed by the band) and played a mini set consisting of about 8 songs (mostly old) to the delight of the lucky concert goers. if that wasn’t enough, yeezy and mos def came by to skidaddle on the mic for about 7 minutes and be adlibbed by lupe. the audio of that bit has surfaced for you all to enjoy.
while this is cool, i’d be more excited if proper video footage of lupe and the band doing songs like “daydreamin,” and “dumb it down” surfaced.
