We wittled down the fantasy section this week, but if you’re in the playoffs, you’ll enjoy it. But that’s probably because you’re in the playoffs. The College Football Playoff has been announced too – all that and more below the jump.

the week in sports: 3/18 – 3/24 (2014)

Thankfully we have a week to recover from all the head spinning March Madness gave us. Still have a full slate of some good ol’ Sweet 16 this weekend. The NBA and NHL move closer to the playoffs and yep, that just about covers it.

the week in sports: 3/11 – 3/17 (2014)

The next couple of weeks are going to be great, because MARCH MADNESS is finally here. As the NBA playoff races get closer and closer, let’s take a few weeks off and just watch these young guns battle it out for a spot at the Final Four at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Hell, someone’s gotta win something prestigious there — amirite?!

Anyway, if you would like to join a bracket, there’s more information right below the jump. The rest of the news, which is a whole lot of NFL Free Agency, is below the jump.

Another week, another recap. By now, you can get a good sense of who’s in the playoffs in the NFL, and coincidentally — same with Fantasy Football! (I’m in the Playoffs in both leagues, thought I’d throw that out there). Outside of that, just same ol’ same ol.

the week in sports: 11/19 – 11/25 (2013)

Huge week in sports. Derrick Rose won’t be playing until 2014, Kobe signed an extension and Dwayne Wade does cartwheels. That’s just basketball. We saw one of the all-time great matchups between two all-time great QBs, and as always, got plenty of fantasy news for the coming week — the last week of regular season Fantasy (for most)

The MLB Playoffs are officially upon us. Nothing better than a game 163 to get things started, too. The NFL brought plenty of drama in Week 4 and will continue to do so, while the NHL kicks off this week, as does the PGA’s President’s Cup.

the week in sports: 5/28 – 6/2 (2013)

Tonight brings something that every NBA fan is looking forward to: a Game 7 between two teams who simply don’t like each other. After slipping plenty of times this series, the defending champions are being pushed to their brinks, much like they were last year against Boston. Will the Heat (namely Wade and Bosh) recover to get to a third straight finals, or will the Pacers pull off a HUGE upset? NHL Playoffs are going strong in their conference finals as well. That and much more in this week’s sports recap.

the week in sports: 4/29 – 5/5 (2013)

The first round of the NBA Playoffs came to an end, but there’s plenty more basketball where that came from. The Semifinals is where you weed out the contenders from the pretenders and things start to get competitive. We’ll go through our predictions for the Semifinals, as well as recap the first round results. The NHL Playoffs continue to take shape, one of my (grizzly) favorite bands took care of the National Anthem, and much more in this week’s sports recap.
