This video fits the song so much better than the first one. But then again, it doesn’t have Drake spraying bitches with champagne. Tough call.

cudi continues his promo rounds with a stop off on the tonight show. i love how visual this song is and how well that lighting works with the music. damn good stuff.

album review: kid cudi – the man on the moon: the end of day (2009)

when you’re leading the pack of hip hop’s next generation, your song remixed and bumped in clubs across the country for going on two years now and have high profile appearances on the albums of hip hop’s royalty (see jay-z and kanye west), ‘highly anticipated’ is an understatement in regards to your debut album.

such are the challenges and high expectations facing kid cudi, who virtually unknown when affiliating himself to the fools gold label, rose to prominence with but a single mixtape to his name. now signed to the infamous GOOD music, all eyes turn to cudi to not only make a name for himself with his unique approach to music, but also as the future of hip hop in its ever evolving form.

video: kid cudi – the pursuit of happiness f. ratatat [live on letterman] (2009)

through all the madness that was answer the call (holy shit, seriously.), i missed cudi’s venture on david letterman. here he is with the boys of ratatat performing one of the best songs off of man on the moon, which is getting HEAVY play from me.

cudi really came through and delivered on his product, so huge congrats to him for coming around full circle on his debut promo run. be on the lookout for sb’s review next week.
