pusha t – don’t fuck with me (2011)

pusha t uses the instrumental to drake’s “dreams money can buy” to send some subliminal shots (in true clipse fashion) but miss info was kind enough to break down the lyrics and who all could be on the receiving end of these subliminals. well played, guy. i wouldn’t even dare to try to out rap this dude. seems mean.

video: john west – lovely [f. pusha t] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15353934&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

initially got to watching this clip thanks to pusha t’s presence, but john west won me over with one smooth r&b number (not unlike anything robin thicke’s done – minus the falsetto) and some pretty girls to boot. i’m not hard to please, clearly.

i thought TFOG2 was dropping this past week, but according to many online calendars, it seems as though september 27th is the next date. regardless, he touches base on that EP, signing to decon for distribution/budgets and his upcoming debut solo record. real informative.

pusha t – amen [f. kanye west and young jeezy; NO TAGS] (2011)

this track is complete excellence. while it’s definitely a lean towards the jeezy side of rap, this song is crazy. perfect beat for this type of heat. and for those wondering, pusha talks about louboutin and pokemon on the same verse and makes it his bitch. don’t act crazy though, you know the hood still loves jeezy, and oh yeah – yeezy.

tags, unfortunately. but the fear of god 2 is dropping in a week. sit tight.

NO TAGS, YALL!

video: pusha t + cyhi the prynce – interview with fakeshoredrive (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.14303656&w=425&h=350&fv=]

pusha t talks about all topical things pusha t needs to be talking about. as expected, a little more jabbin’ at cons, his upcoming releases and of course – the status with the clipse. below the jump, you’ll find a quick one from cyhi about his record and royal flush 2. both taken at the chicago stop of the heineiken/g.o.o.d. music events.

video: pusha t – addresses consequence beef in a radio interview (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.14068108&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

while the rest of the interview covers a bunch of slightly interesting shit, pusha t basically deads the beef between him and cons after the radio DJ asks him if he’ll record a response:

“Really? You’re like the first person to ever say that. I don’t ever think anyone’s wanted to see Consequence. Never no radio personality, DJ has ever said they want to hear Consequence!”

…in his own city of chicago. that’s just rude.

video: pusha t – trouble on my mind [f. tyler, the creator] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.13505218&w=425&h=350&fv=]

two separate letters.

dear pusha t: quit being swayed and trying to cater to tyler’s crowd. keep the coke raps coming and do your own thing. there’s no need for you to rock high athletic socks, vans and baseball shirts with 3/4 sleeves.

dear tyler, the creator: keep your dumb, pseudo anarchist pop rap shit out of my favorite artists’ music. granted, i can’t stop em from collaborating with you – but less baseball bats destroying mirrors, more piles of baking soda emulating cocaine.

sigh. re-up gang > wolf gang.

pusha t – the fear of god 2: let us pray [tracklisting] (2011)

while a new pusha T release is good news by most standards, i’m bummed that 4/9 of these tracks are rehashes from TFOG part I. that being said, who isn’t excited by ‘amen?’

tracklisting:

1. Changing Of The Guards (Feat. Diddy)
2. Amen (Feat. Kanye West & Jeezy)
3. Trouble On My Mind (Feat. Tyler, The Creator)
4. What Dreams Are Made Of
5. O There It Is
6. Feeling Myself (Feat. Kevin Cossom)
7. Raid (Feat. 50 Cent & Pharrell)
8. My God
9. I Still Wanna (Feat. Rick Ross & Ab Liva)

king push touches base on how he wasn’t part of watch the throne (or hasn’t been, thus far) and the upcoming projects he has in store: the fear of god 2 + long live the caine, respectively.

and a song with yeezy AND jeezy? i’m smellin’ an anthem!

video: pusha t – alone in vegas (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.10431976&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

pusha t pushes the cocaine bravado to the side for a more introspective, vulnerable look at his personal life and his dealings in “alone in vegas.” no stranger to the string of very impressive visuals for the fear of god, as this one has all the makings of a great video. cannot wait for TFOG2.
