ROZAY. he’s back with a stupid song about pee-colored diamonds, and this is a visual for said track.
-grizzly

these MMG rappers keep puttin’ out pretty good stuff, huh? with only a handful of artists on deck, i’d say they’re making a much more viable impact talent-wise than people give em credit for. this is rumored to be off of self made 2, but you know how those things go.

fake young jeezy links up with the bawse for his latest single on live from the kitchen. that ignorant shit.

remember when common dissed drake? well drake sends out his own subliminals in this cut, from rozay’s latest mixtape. i wish drake would just man the fuck up for once in his life and call someone out. it’s not like he sucks at rapping. common’s response soon enough. as in…the next post.
“Don’t be duckin like you never wanted nothin’/ It’s feelin like rap changed it was a time it was rugged/ Back when if a nigga reached it was for the weapon/ Nowadays niggas reach just to sell their record.”
-grizzly

time to play catch up. rozay drops a new mixtape of originals as a prelude to god forgives, i don’t. the tape will have (assuming) rick ross’ undeniable ear for production, along with features from nas, drake and diddy, among others. tracklisting below the cut.

MMG is dropping a new mixtape called “uncut” soon, which doesn’t feature the newly “signed” pill. turns out, pill said he never signed, rather was just rolling with rozay and company. anyway, here’s a song where they compare women to a bag of money.
download:

this man rozay dropped two tracks today. remixes and shit, probably gonna be on his upcoming mixtape. BAWSE.

cheap video spliced between what’s probably one of the worst movies i’ll never see and a pretty literal song for its soundtrack.

salaam remi provides the production for this nas/rozay collab, which you guessed it – is the “theme” for the upcoming eddie murphy and ben stiller disaster, tower heist.

gonna go ahead and say it. dmx and swizz’ medley of old school hits was easily the best performance. performances from lupe fiasco, jeezy/ti (his first public performance since jail), big sean and wale can be seen below the jump.

cool title? he’s been focusing on his MMG artists so much that i forgot he has his own album coming out, slated to drop december 13th. i’m guessing it won’t be making too many year-end lists. for added measure, another song of his leaked today, titled “you the boss,” and features one big-bootied nicki minaj. both produced by just blaze, both don’t sound like rehashes of BMF, but only one’s good.

more new wale. this one’s a little more ghetto. *rick ross grunt*

I had caught the first incarnation of Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour in 2009, in which the support was lended by Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and Jeremih, for better or for worse. Back then, Wayne was pre-sober, pre-jail and pre-probaton. His syrupy mindset was all but mentioned, but he managed to put on a great show – one of the better hip-hop performances I had seen. I had always been a Wayne fan from a distance too, as his musical output wasn’t always as fleshed out as Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III.
One Rebirth, I’m Not a Human Being, two mixtapes and a Carter IV later, I’m back at the Woodlands catching Lil Wayne perform again, this time with the aid of Rick Ross, Keri Hilson and Groupon. Also, it’s worth noting that this was the last night of the tour.
Hit the jump for the recap.

whoa dere, THREE new drake cuts in one weekend. he really wanted to give back i assume. let’s backtrack:
-”club paradise” is produced by 40
-”free spirit” has a rick ross feature and is also produced by 40
-”round of applause” is a waka flocka flame song, remixed, because drake wanted to rap on a lex luger production.
simple right? spoiler alert: they’re all fucking awesome. club paradise is crazy.

this song (according to my friends) has been blowin’ up on the radio as of late, and i can’t say i’m surprised. jeremih definitely has that radio appeal, and ross has been on a rampage these last few years. looks like these small additions to wale’s sound ARE helpin’ to propel him in the spotlight. above all else, the video hoes in this one are tip-top.
-grizzly

the “i’m on one” crew links up for a scrapped version of the recently released single from tha carter IV. not that i’m the executive producer, but why not cut “john” off the album completely and keep this version of the song? ross’ verse is superb.

watch rozay and his ‘on the road’ antics while on tour on lil wayne’s allegedly dry iammusic tour. here’s a clip cataloging the events from raleigh, NC, including a performance of ‘john’ with weezy. definitely hoping to catch this tour in houston.

catching up after a weekend without posts. bear (hehe) with me. i love this song, video’s pretty good, minus rick ross’ outfit and drake’s haircut.

a few notes:
-enjoy BMF part XI
-titties on vevo?
-’i'm sellin dope, straight off the iphone’ is the coolest line ever
-grizzly
the self-made cut that’s a little too blasphemous for my personal taste gets the visual treatment, just in time for tupac’s would-be 40th birthday. and in much, much more important news, tupac’s killer has confessed. i would love some validation on his claims, though.
-grizzly
that self-made compilation was fairly tough, and wale really showed out on this one. i don’t know much about cars, but i’ve seen benz ‘enthusiasts’ pass word around that the car in the video isn’t even a 600, which is true rick ross hilarity in its finest hour. *rick ross grunt*
-grizzly
call me crazy, but rick ross managed to put together a hell of a compilation with the MMG roster. one of the few times i’d give a cut to a posse album. young money could’ve taken some SERIOUS notes from this one. it’s not amazing or anything, just surprisingly good.
-grizzly

the compilation from rozay’s camp, which consists of wale, pill and meek mill, is here for the streaming. while earlier speculation led me to believe that wale would be sorely out of place here and the compilation would be a giant clusterfuck of raps, a quick listen-through proved the album to be a pretty strong case for the label. there are definitely a good amount of songs here, with some high profile features like j. cole, jadakiss, currensy and a few more. anyway, stream the whole thing below.
