ludacris – tell me what they mad for [feat. pusha t and swizz beatz] (2012)

welp, that escalated quickly. pusha t has never been hush hush about his disdain for lil wayne or birdman, but in this new diss track, they kinda let it fly by with no discretion. interesting to see ludacris and swizz beatz put their names to this, but stay tuned on other developments on this tame ass beef. ludaversal will be out in 2013.

swizz beatz – street knock [f. asap rocky; prod. by araabmuzik] (2012)

gaddammit! look, i’m really against the idea of swizz rapping (and his ad-libs are worse than his raps in this one). and while this is for his limitless mixtape, araabmuzik provides a retarded good beat and swizz maintains mediocrity on the mic. asap does his thing though. i’ll be spinning the shit out of this during the summer.

mateo – say it’s so [f. alicia keys] (2011)

love & stadiums was mateo’s most successful release to date, so why not follow it up with an official sequel EP, in the vein of pusha t’s fear of gods? seems promising, especially when you recruit swizz beatz to produce and alicia keys to cameo on your track.

however, i’m not too thrilled about the grammar error on that cover. just about ruins a good thing.

lil wayne – dear anne [stan pt. II] (2011)

at first i was like ‘eh,’ but after listening to the self-dubbed ‘stan pt. II’ (an ode to that one eminem song, yall. catch up) i gotta say that this is one of wayne’s best new cuts. i really enjoyed “nightmares of the bottom” which he performed/debuted on MTV unplugged, so i have a real good feeling about TC4. but wait, plot twist! this song isn’t going to be on the record for some strange reason.

swizzy on the production, despite how minimal it sounds.

video: travis barker – can a drummer get some (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.5868811&w=425&h=350&fv=]

barker enlists the game, lil wayne, swizz and ross for the lead single on his solo venture, which is in stores now. can’t vouch for the album, as i haven’t listened yet, but this video is definitely cool.

video: travis barker – can a drummer get some? [f. swizz beatz, game and mix master mike; live on kimmel] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.5551977&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

barker, game, swizz and mike all hit the kimmel stage to make it way more hood than kimmel probably ever planned for his show.

travis barker – can a drummer get some? [ft. swizz beatz, the game, lil wayne, & rick ross] (2011)

alright, alright, i can definitely mess with this. fresh single from mr. barker’s upcoming give the drummer some, which is scheduled to drop on march 15th. interest = peaked.

swizz beatz – ya’ll don’t really know [f. dmx and busta rhymes] (2010)

WOW. this is some classic shit right here. not in the “this is the most amazing song ever” type way, but more of the “is it 1998 with swizzy and dark man x reuniting on wax” or “wow dmx kicked off a song with barking” type way. none of which are anything to complain about. WHERE MAH DOGS AT?

swizz beatz – bang bang [f. pharrell and pusha t] (2010)

taking a page from yeezy’s playbook, swizz beatz is starting a weekly series of his own, entitled monster mondays. this is the 2nd installment, with last week’s being “dj play that beat” featuring estelle. wasn’t here for that one, so hit the web up if ya need it.

pusha does his thing on it, naturally, but swizzy could use help with the artwork.
