video: drake – take care [f. rihanna] (2012)

sunbear compared this video to a calvin klein commercial, and it is exactly that amount of sexy – sans drake. his corny dancing and overacting has gone far enough, video directors. quit enabling him! in other news, the rest of the video looks crisp and fantastic, and blonde rihanna’s got my rocks goin in a “loud album cover” type of way.

video: drake – HYFR [f. lil wayne] (2012)

[vodpod id=Video.16333287&w=425&h=350&fv=]

before we proceed, i do know that drake dropped two videos, and that in good faith, i shouldn’t give him more than one post for the both of em. but the video for HYFR has so much commentary, it deserves its own post.

- drake decides to get “re-bar-mitsvah’d” and brings along all his douche friends for the ride. in the video, you’ll see a menacing, fatter dj khaled, a birdman doin’ the cookin’ dance, an always swagged out trey songz, and my favorite: drake doing his goofiest fuckin’ dances.

- why is lil wayne the way he is? my sentiments towards 2010+ wayne can be summarized here. i mean, this is his best verse since anything on the carter III, and he decides to headbang and wear a checkerboard suit? goof.

- regardless, i love this video. hilarious, unique, stupid and all the things a song with a hook like this should be.

video: drake – the motto [f. lil wayne & tyga] (2011)

the only three good things about young money get together for drake’s latest video. after having recently gone platinum (in a grand total of five weeks), drake’s droppin’ a video for one of TC’s bonus tracks. while the video looks pretty great, drake is wearing the most ridiculous outfit ever. yes, it’s worth mentioning.

Review after the jump.

drake – the motto [f. lil wayne] (2011)

while out on a radio show yesterday, drake premiered a couple of songs for the masses, including a headlining (pun intended) track from take care. “the motto” features weezy in prime form, a real groovy ass beat and massive radio potential. as a bonus, he premiered the remix to “headlines” which features an half-autotuned t.i. verse that eventually goes off. radio rip on that one for now, will update as it comes.
