it’s hard to believe dexter’s still on. it hit a couple of really bad seasons in 5 and 6, and even though season 7 started out promising and exciting, it ended in disappointment. word on the street is that season 8 is indeed the last season, but we saw what showtime did to shows like weeds, so who knows?
season 8 premieres june 30th.

news: air dubai announce new album, be calm (2012)
and while i can’t currently get the fun. song out of my memory, the announcement of denver’s wonderful collective air dubai’s new album will surely help overshadow such a title. the band took to the internets to announce the new album, set for release this fall. be sure to keep up with all of their respective updates, which you’ll see plenty of in the coming months/weeks.

homeland’s pilot season was the sleeper hit of last year. season 1 was definitely a great, promising set up for a series that could fill the pro-USA, counterterrorist void that the loss of 24 has caused – of course, on an R-rated, premium cable network level.
season 2 premieres on september 30th on showtime.

i have no clue what this young (maybe?) asian girl/sunbear’s sister has to do with gambino, but under the moniker ‘cute star,’ two gambino-related teasers have popped up. the first is one with a studio clip of a new song, and the other is below the jump and is along the same lines. also, there’s a short bit with MTV to boot.

crosses is the new project/collaboration between chino moreno of deftones and shaun lopez of far. the sound is pretty clear just by hearing those two names in the same sentence, and it’s accurate. there are a lot more small teaser clips on the bands tumblr, which you can check out here. no word on a formal release just yet.
