phil elverum has been making some chilly black metal under the mount eerie moniker for a while now. last year he put out two albums that made many critics’ ‘best of’ lists. this time around, he drops a clip for “the place lives,” an ambient bit of soundscape that sounds more calm before the storm than full-on hurricane. check it out above, and mount eerie’s tour dates below.
