i can’t wait to hear the studio — but for now, you have to listen to the air horn get abused and theo/asap get rowdy in t-dot. oh the title is misleading. while the song will feature rocky, the video doesn’t.

theo performs his new (and awesome) single for the first time while out in LA.

-grizzly

this swaggy bastard theophilus is back with a brand new song on this fine january day in houston. complete with screwed vocals and the electro elements of his this charming mixtape days, so long term fans of theo will lose their shit over this. he’s going on tour too – so you can catch those dates below the jump.

R&I shot footage of mr. london at a recent brooklyn show, spliced in some clips of american flags, morrissey/the smiths, and michael jackson. to sum up: four minutes of awesome things.
- panda
can definitely count on theo coming through with the jams and the visuals to match. timez are weird is in stores now.

i know many of you just got ridiculously excited, but slow your role. this isn’t a new collaboration or anything. it is, however, a compilation of past collaborations from these two. even with that being said, i see some songs that i personally haven’t heard on here, and judging by the rest of the tracklisting, you almost forget how awesome of a duo these two are. i wonder what an actual new album would sound like. let’s get it poppin’, fellas. tracklisting below the jump.

videoz are weird these days.
-grizzly

Hello, friends. We’ve teamed up with Warner Brothers for an exclusive contest that would entail you winning some free swag courtesy of theophilus london and a string of promotional items for his new album Timez Are Weird These Days.
Up for grabs is:
1) A copy of his debut LP, Timez Are Weird These Days
2) An exclusive t-shirt
3) A limited edition autographed poster
All you have to do is send us an e-mail (weworemasks at gmail dot com) and answer the following questions:
1) Name 2 artists that Theophilus London has collaborated with that are not featured on his debut LP. This can include features on other artists songs as well.
2) Whose cover did Theophilus London emulate on his mixtape, This Charming Mixtape?
3) Who sang the original song that Theophilus London covered with The Dap Kings?
For the folks who answer all of the questions correctly, a winner will be chosen at random. Thanks and good luck!

last name dates, first name tour, yall. even though he’s not hitting houston, he will be at ACL this year, where sunbear and i hope to catch a set of his before the glorious yeezy – but that’s another conversation. he’ll be hitting the road this fall with a slew of different acts, so hit the jump to see if he’s hitting your town, and with who.

theophilus gets the mtv co-sign. smart move, music television.

We’ve been covering Theophilus for a few years now. All three of us are glad that he’s signed, making big moves and is finally putting out his debut LP. But really, all I want to say is ‘Reviewz are weird these days.’
Hit the jump for the review, and go support this record, especially after he’s given you three excellent mixtapes for free.

mr. london stopped by the kimmel studios last night (with a new custom G-G-$ hat) to perform his personal favorite cut from his newly released timez are weird these days.
-grizzly
these are always fun, but nothing will ever top the wiz and currensy episode. timez are weird these days drops today, so go pick that shit up.
-grizzly

and mr. london’s album is finally here. after years of giving you free mixtapes (and quality mixtapes without that dj bullshit at that), theo’s dropping his major label debut tomorrow – a record which all of you should be picking up. if you need to be sold on it, head on over to AOL music, who has the exclusive stream.
also, expect a review of this record from me.

hell yes. theo’s on quite the promo run in these last two weeks before his debut LP hits. the video reminds me of “paranoid android”‘s animation, but with way more slutty dancers, miscreants, drugs, liquor and other awesome things of that nature.
timez are weird these days drops july 19th.
-grizzly

this is off timez are weird these days, and a track that theo himself said is his favorite cut off his new album. speaking of which, we’re a week away from the retail release, and i’m sure – hours away from the pirate/internet release.

remember when we were all shitty and posted a ton of remixes regularly? like a TON of them? even though it’s in much rarer form these days, RAC always puts out quality product. theo’s gettin their cosign now.

while this song didn’t make theophilus london’s warner bros. debut, this dave sitek-produced jam will be showing up on a mixtape deemed PRINCE TL shortly thereafter.

theo lets loose in the canals of venice and in a streamy hot building not too far from the rialto bridge where he performed,to a bunch of venetians (is that right?) and some creeps miami vice blazers. do the creep, ahhhhh!
- sunbear

still can’t get over how weird this title is…but here we are. i’m not too thrilled that 3/5 of the lovers holiday EP shows up here (and not even the best one: “strange love”) but i’m happy for theo’s major label debut – and the fact that there is a huge lack of features, it’s definitely going to feel like a debut. production duties will be handled by several, including dave sitek (tv on the radio), John Hill and more.
i’ll be copping this on july 19th.
tracklisting:
1. Last Name London
2. Love is Real
3. Wine and Chocolates
4. All Around the World
5. She’s Great (Interlude)
6. Why Even Try (feat. Sara Quin)
7. Stop It
8. Girls Girls $
9. One Last Time
10. Lighthouse
11. I Stand Alone
-grizzly

not the greatest song, but what’s more important here is that theophilus london has his debut LP dropping on warner bros on july 19th. the title of the record is times are weird these days (titles are weird these days, amirite?) and here’s the first single, which you can download for the price of a tweet.
