the double dragon duo is back again with a new music video from their 2012 collaborative mixtape project. keeping in line with the glitchy video game theme of the project is the new video for “young girl,” putting forth some MIA-esque videos while single 10ille handles guest duties in a haze of swirls and video game bits.

pausing for a minute on the double dragon campaign is fat tony, who kicked off the road to his sophomore lp, smart ass black boy. and while the album won’t grace our ipods until the spring of 2013, he wanted to put things into motion a little early. “BKNY” is the first taste of the project, tapping long time collaborator tom cruz behind the boards for the ode to brooklyn.
video is cameo heavy, calling on kool AD (das racist), mr. muthafuckin exquire and nick catchdubs to name a few.

hold it, whoady. the swt tandem in double dragon (fat tony & tom cruz) are currently out on the road, taking their eponymously (if that’s a word) self-titled collaborative tape to cities across the country. after having stopped in houston a few nights ago (i couldn’t make it, and that feels bad), the group has released their main attrakionz-assisted single in “double up.” the visual takes on the lo-fi, glitchy aesthetic the pair have embraced with the new mixtape, and we have absolutely no problem with that.

first off, i just wanna say fat tony’s fuckin’ the game up. i’m proud that a dude i went to school with is gettin’ ahead with this rap shit. in his latest endeavor, fat tony and tom cruz’s double dragon takes off with an 8-bit head of steam in their first video off their double dragon mixtape. which by the way, should be downloaded for free here.
