watch: this is the end [trailer]

this movie has to potential to be hilarious (or very bad) so i’m just gonna drop this red band trailer off right here. this is the end follows around plenty of familiar faces (plot twist: they all play themselves) like seth rogen, danny mcbride, jonah hill, etc etc and they all get stuck in a house like saw 16 or something. hilarity definitely ensues in the trailer.

watch: the pirate bay – away from keyboard [documentary trailer]

not that i was on the pirate bay (but i was), but i happened to see this trailer on their homepage. ‘the pirate bay – away from keyboard’ has commissioned an official documentary, which seems all the more interesting every time the site gets shut down. anyway, check the trailer for the film above and sit tight till you can download the film.

god bless those swedes!!!

watch: beyonce – life is but a dream [hbo documentary trailer]

beyonce’s probably gonna have a monstruous year. destinys child just put out their first song in 8 years, for starters. add to that fact – she’s performing at the halftime show of the superbowl and now this: a trailer for a new HBO special, life is but a dream. from the looks of it, it’ll be an up close and personal gaze into bey’s normally privatized life, with her at the helm of narration. looking forward to it!

life is but a dream premieres on february 16th.

watch: the place beyond the pines [official trailer]

while out watching the dram-com silver linings playbook, i caught the trailer for a place beyond the pines, a really ambitious affair featuring two of the dudes in hollywood who everyone hates. man-crushes aside, ryan gosling and bradley cooper star in a crime drama which finds gosling (a motorcycle stuntman, not too far off from his character in drive) who turns to a life of crime to provide for his newborn son. his adversary in the movie is the cop-turned politician in bradley cooper. on paper, the movie doesn’t seem as exciting as the trailer makes it out to be, but you know – watch and decide for yourself.

oh and eva mendes.

video: the great gatsby – official trailer #2 (2012)

baz luhrmann’s the great gatsby is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated flicks of 2013 (may 17 is its theatrical release). and even with the first (and much more tame) trailer as our only taste of what’s to come. throw in this new, more action-packed trailer and baby, you’ve got a movie going.

and how many damn trailers and commercials are gonna use “no church in the wild”? great song, but c’mon folks!
