Today was a good day to post the album review, because today’s also the day we’re catching blink-182′s Houston stop of the Honda Civic Tour. And sure, we spent weekends of our time in much more hip locations such as ACL, but we’re human, and we still grew up on these guys, right? In any case, this is one of the longest tenured bands, and I’m glad they’re still making music. I do wish that they’d buckle down and get some adult haircuts though.
Album review’s after the jump.

nickel nine links up with the blink 182 drummer for the lead in/intro track to his upcoming album, success is certain. this song kinda goes – i feel like i’m hearing ‘sweet child of mine’ being sampled, but it’s probably just late. either way, album drops august 9th.

barker enlists the game, lil wayne, swizz and ross for the lead single on his solo venture, which is in stores now. can’t vouch for the album, as i haven’t listened yet, but this video is definitely cool.

travis’ debut solo lp is dropping this week, and before you buy it, you can listen to one of the biggest compilation albums you’ll hear all year. everybody’s got a verse on this one.

two HUGE leaks from barker’s upcoming album, which is dropping next week. i had no clue the record was dropping so soon, but if there are high quality songs like this (clipse and lupe both go crazy on their respective cuts), then i’m on board.
…i still haven’t listened to the mixtape though.

there’s a lot of dope stuff going on here, but only two words need to be said: tim. armstrong.

after travis’ mixtape dropped yesterday, i’m sure there’s more promo where this came from. i haven’t gotten the chance to sit down with the tape yet, but i guarantee this’ll be one of the best cuts on it.

mr. barker prefaces his upcoming solo album with a new mixtape, assisted-but-hopefully-not-ruined by dj whoo kid. this thing is jam packed with a who’s who in hip hop, including clipse, lil wayne, rick ross, lupe fiasco, j. cole, wiz khalifa, game, and a shit ton more. not really much else that needs to be said with names like that on your beats.

barker, game, swizz and mike all hit the kimmel stage to make it way more hood than kimmel probably ever planned for his show.

travis pounds the skins hard as a motherfucker on this remix. too easy? maybe. he really hits his stride during the opera bridge, though.

alright, alright, i can definitely mess with this. fresh single from mr. barker’s upcoming give the drummer some, which is scheduled to drop on march 15th. interest = peaked.

yeah, i wish this title was a joke too. off of a travis barker mixtape, which is to be hosted by dj whoo(oooooo) kid. there’s never been a more appropriate time for SMH.
edit: CDQ/original version uploaded as well. no t-barker on it.

the features are nice, but this song isn’t nearly as good as i thought it would be considering. tom’s solo is where it’s at, though.

barker wants us to give the drummer some, while the video for this video purposely pays tribute to the great west-coast-chillin-out-maxin-relaxin-all-cool videos of the 90s. and nothin’ but a beach thang baaaaby.
too bad it’s october.

mr. barker drops the first single from his upcoming solo lp, give the drummer some. this literally sounds exactly like what you’d expect a cool kids/travis collab to sound like minus travis doing anything too showy on the drums. overall a nice effort though that should definitely gain interest in what else travis has up his sleeve for the album.

t.i. performs one of my current favorites with travis barker, who’s just about due for a proper LP full of hip-hop remixes to drop. so good.

this shit is dope. on one hand, i’m upset i missed this, but on the other – i was probably too drunk to give a shit at that moment. it’s not like i bought a badge and could’ve gotten into this anyway.

the collaboration everyone was talkin about for the past few days. it really sucks that kanye couldn’t join in on this. it also sucks that the audio editors at CBS hate hip-hop and muted half of these songs. i guess it was precaution, but whatever. drake didn’t do too bad considering it was his first major television appearance (let’s forget about those BET awards, right?), but dude needs live singing lessons.
EDIT: added the updated/proper rip.
also, travis barker is the fucking man.

some blog put together a nice little (unofficial, mind you) mixtape with many of t-barker’s remixes that have been dropping fairly frequently over the past year. they made an album cover, but there’s no way i’m posting that god-awful artwork.
hit the jump for the tracklisting.

man, wale could easily put together a short mixtape of the tracks that got left off attention: deficit, and it’d be the mixtape of the year. mark ronson played this cut that didn’t make the album (for God knows what reason) that features murdering the kit and production by sean c and LV. hopefully we’ll see the CDQ soon enough.

1. jamie foxx sounds horrible.
2. travis barker is a cold, cold beast.
3. t-pain’s chain is bigger than rick ross.
4. why was snoop here?
5. i don’t think i’ll ever get tired of this song.
6. or blaming it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol, baby.
