news: north korea signs to triple crown records (2012)

well this is good news for ryan hunter, brian bryne (envy on the coast), billy rymer (dillinger escape plan) and mike sardis. and of course, their semi-new project in north korea. coming off two pretty excellent EPs (both can be downloaded here), the band announced that they have signed to triple crown records – a label that’s currently home to the likes of moving mountains, o brother, the dear hunter, etc. the band are currently in the studio working on their debut LP, so stay tuned.

video: moving mountains – triple crown records [teaser] (2010)

someone @weworemasks’d this to us last week, but i hadn’t the slightest clue as to what it was and chalked it up to viral marketing. well, AP is reporting that it’s an announcement for moving mountains, a band i have a lot of love for, and their signing to triple crowd records. good news for them, but even better for us, since we’ll be seeing a new record in 2011.
