listen: wale – rotation [feat. wiz khalifa and 2 chainz]

from wale’s gifted comes this high-profile collaboration. 2 chainz and wiz khalifa both get time on this track, but more importantly, travis scott gets his producer’s credit to go along with it. listen below via flex.

oh and that album cover is still the worst of 2013.

news: wale and jerry seinfeld are collaborating on the album about nothing

well holy shit. after 2008′s near-perfect mixtape about nothing, hip-hop purists and comedy nerds will join forces on the album about nothing. this is the sequel of sorts, and will find wale’s new mixtape laced with none other than original material from good ol’ jerry seinfeld.

very excited about this one.

mixtape: wale – folarin (2012)

wale’s christmas offering comes in a loaded release, and coincidentally his return to what made him so revered in the first place – the mixtape circuit. if i had to guess, this won’t be anything like the mixtape about nothing or 100 miles, but it’ll be a return to form to the rapping of those yesteryears.

stream: meek mill – lay up [remix; feat. jay-z] (2012)

same as the original, just throw in a verse from HOVA and call it a remix. jay’s verse was initially cut from the record in lieu of wale because jay didn’t like his own shit. and although the verse isn’t BAD per se, i’m not shocked it was cut.

dreams and nightmares is out now.

video: game – celebration [remix; feat. bone thugs n harmony] (2012)

the progression of this song is fairly simple. the original track samples bone. the remix features bone. so go on and watch the completion of that trifecta, the music video. and for bonus shits and giggles, stream game’s new track with wale, “stripper.”
