We’re seasoned vets when it comes to SXSW. For the last 6 years, we’ve been at the festival to some capacity, regardless of how drunk we got or how bad our allergies were. And while last year’s festival left us jaded and hesitant of the crowds, we headed to Austin for a few days to engage in whatever came our way.

Day Three of Fun Fun Fun Fest wraps up one of it’s biggest years in its six-year existence with one of the most exceptional and legendary bands to grace our presence: Slayer. But not before Auditorium Shores is filled with electronic, indie, and punk acts to help stifle the brutal blow. the first single from edinburgh, scotland’s we were promised jetpacks, “medicine” is taken from the band’s upcoming sophomore album in the put of the stomach, out october 4. the quality isn’t great, but the song sure is.
more sweet accents, this time from glasgow, scotland’s we were promised jetpacks. these guys have been popping up all over the place recently (they also played sxsw) and will only gain more noteriety for their urgent rock songs: equal parts gritty, melodic, and emotive. their debut album these four walls comes out next month.
