mixtape: theo martins – you can’t do that on television (2010)

here’s a new cat for all of you fine folks to get into. jerome ALLEGEDLY told me about theo martins a couple months ago, to which we chalked up to complete and reckless disregard of each other. me for never listening to him, and him for being way too lazy to post this up to support any claims he’s made about ‘telling me’ about ‘theo martins’ before. pics or it didn’t happen, panda.
in any case, i think a lot of you will enjoy him. he’s melodic, he’s lyrical (think a mixtape lupe or a come up-era j cole) and he has a great producer at his disposal, $port, who enjoys taking that classic 90s hip-hop sound and infusing it with subtle hints of modern pop and electronics. this particular tape was inspired by a nickelodeon show of the same name, so i’m sure the canadians will love that one.
and since we spaced on it before, head over to theo’s blog to download his previous mixtape, channel surfin, here. this tape especially rules due to dj wreckineyez scratchin’ all over that sumbitch.
