video: young jeezy – do it for you [f. freddie gibbs] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.15329386&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

this is a great video for a song from jeezy’s mixtape, the real is back , but the real story here is how GOOD freddie gibbs is. the whole idea of him rapping behind bars is very modern-day tupac.

pusha t – amen [f. kanye west and young jeezy; NO TAGS] (2011)

this track is complete excellence. while it’s definitely a lean towards the jeezy side of rap, this song is crazy. perfect beat for this type of heat. and for those wondering, pusha talks about louboutin and pokemon on the same verse and makes it his bitch. don’t act crazy though, you know the hood still loves jeezy, and oh yeah – yeezy.

tags, unfortunately. but the fear of god 2 is dropping in a week. sit tight.

NO TAGS, YALL!

video: young jeezy – put on & go crazy [live; f. kanye west & jay-z] (2011)

[vodpod id=Video.13858184&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

while performing his seminal hood classic TM101 in its entirety at the highline ballroom last night, jeezy performed a slew of other cuts and brought out THE THRONE (isn’t that cool?) for their respective features on “put on” and the remix of “go crazy,” the latter of which is below the jump.

oh and TM103 finally has a “final” release date – september 20th.

video: young jeezy – ballin [f. lil wayne] (2011)

call me crazy, but i don’t think this particular misplaced rick ross single, with a lil wayne feature and produced by lex luger will be the single that pushes TM103 closer to the public ear. regardless, the video is influenced from one of my favorite basketball movies ever (above the rim) and has a cameo from gangsta gibbs.

mixtape: young jeezy – the real is back (2011)

i guess this is our official ‘whif’ of TM103. it’s supposedly done, so my obvious inference is that these tracks (a whole bunch of em, at that) are the songs that didn’t quite make the cut for whatever reason. doesn’t say much about the caliber about these songs, but i’m sure there are a few gems on here. neat features, too – which you can see below the jump.

young jeezy – ballin [f. lil wayne] (2011)

for a rapper who spent all last summer beefin’ with ross, it’s not exactly a winner’s behavioral pattern to make songs that are heavily remniscient of your enemy. i’ll admit, i loved the BMFs, hard in the paints and MC hammers, but they’re getting a little played. lex luger needs to find a way to make some different beats, and dudes like lil lody need to start ripping off other people. this is from the oft-delayed and recently disappeared TM103, so we’ll see where it ends up.

but kanye was right – the hood loves to listen to jeezy and weezy…

mixtape: young jeezy – 1000 grams [NO DJ] (2010)

EDIT: NO DJ is out.

jeezy’s back with the trap music for your thursday afternoon. he dropped this at precisely 1:03 p.m. (EST) TM103 still has no date that’s been set in stone, but as of this point, it’s september 28th. in the meantime, grab this tape which apparently has no guests and a whole lotta coke rap.
